For those wishing for a darker experience while browsing, i have recently found out a trick that can be used with Chrome browser.
Go to "chrome://flags", search for "Force Dark Mode for Web Contents", and set it to enabled (the other modes seem to be for various types of visual impairment.).
On Chrome restart, most pages will be turned to dark mode, via a simple trick: Chrome will take the upper 75% of the whites and turn them into a backwards scale of gray, black replacing the pure white (see attached).
Notice this isn't the same as a proper dark mode layout, so it may not be to everyone's likings.
However, reverting the option and restarting Chrome will set everything back to normal.
