  • 360 Camera - how to widen the fov/lens

I am creating a series of 360 renderings but can't figure out how to widen the fov / lens. It renders the same regardless of the camera settings. I've tried Max cameras and Vray cameras, doesn't make any difference.

How do I widen the lens, from say a 7mm to a 3mm? I need to show more of the interior space.

These will be viewed as 360 virtual reality tours.

    Thanks

If you're rendering a 360, the resulting 360 will always look the same. The lens you set your cam to doesnt matter, as the override of 360 will do exactly that, it will override the cam settings. What you see in the viewport is the lens settings, but the resulting render will be the 360 you showing.

The magic happens in your viewer when you view the 360.
KRPano, Pano2VR etc, the all have settings you can adjust in realtime to change the lens to view. You can do this either in your initial setup of those programs, or via code, or depending on your viewer you can simply use your middle scroll button to adjust the FOV while viewing
