  • use Transparent color for gap in cloth texture

    Hi,
Is it possible to assign "transparent" as the Gap Color in the Cloth Texture?

Can you elaborate what exactly you mean or referencing to and trying to achieve, please?
    I don't understand yet..

Meanwhile I have contacted support and they confirmed this is not supported currently. The texture cloth consist of threads and gaps between the threads. I want to set the “gap” color to be transparent.

Long overdue reply (and with the assumption V-Ray for SketchUp or Rhino is being used), but here it is, nevertheless:
The V-Ray TexCloth texture can be slotted (instanced) in both Diffuse and Opacity material slots.
The instance used for opacity needs to be wrapped in a Color Correction texture and using the CC controls adjust everything that is not a gap color to appear as pure white while the gap color appears entirely black.
Same workflow can be applied to textures of other types.
