I don't want to sound negative but it appears to mean that Chaos (and Enscape) is now effectively under the direct control of private equity companies?
I hope it works out and they don't do any damage in terms of leveraging purely for profit rather than pursuing innovation.
Maybe I am too cynical but it's ultimately your choice, so good luck

It struck me that the emails sent out to customers avoided the mention of private equity ownership altogether. I guess we will see over time whether "growth" (like subscription cost increases, software "consolidations") or innovation wins out.

The big ones eat the small ones. It has always been like that.
I just hope that Chaos doesn't do what Autodesk, Adobe or more recently Maxon did. That it won't be just a matter of big money.

            The future will tell.

Hmm... Omniverse alternative? Interesting news. A bit worried about private companies, though.

Super cool technology in Enscape, I've used it extensively with Revit. It has always been a secondary tool for me though as I need to bring it into Max for Forest Pack and to accessorize. Revit will never be a great tool for millions of polygons.

My worry with this kind of business model is that it is more profitable to have a range of products doing similar things but specialize in something particular, thus building a portfolio like Autodesk. I would much rather have a Vray that can do everything that Corona can do, with a realtime view like Vantage/Enscape directly in Max viewport. In that sense I prefer the Adobe model, where Photoshop and Premiere are the best, and most complete, in their respective field.

I am excited to try Enscape. I have already rendered in Vray for SketchUp and Corona for C4D (using SketchUp). I hope you will help make the issues with the graphics card needed for Enscape more clear. It seems as though the needs are on a gaming level, and it is a whole new thing for me. My computer guy is trying to help me but says the graphics card I need is expensive and will be hard to get because of the pandemic. I was asking questions on the Enscape forum. The moderator, Demian, gave me a helpful response, but now he has "disabled" me on the forum, I think. Very frustrating. It just took me a while to even understand what the problem was with my graphics card, and actually when I tried to open my Enscape trial, the only message was that my graphics card was "out dated." But it is actually too small (1 GB) and there is the issue with needing a discreet graphic processing unit. It is a lot to be confronted with and I was frustrated. I am proficient in SketchUp, Vray and Corona Render and have run those programs on my computer without problems, aside from adding more RAM. (My computer is an HP Pavilion Desktop 590-p0024 with an AMD 15DD graphics card)

I have to correct this post; I found out that Demian did not "disable" me. That is just the word they use for "pending" comments, comments that need to be approved. He has provided very helpful responses.

If you have a 1GB graphic card, I don't think anything will work. I have a Titan RTX with 24GB, and I am a lightweight. Most software applications list minimum requirements, so look for that.

The stated Enscape requirements for the dedicated VRAM is minimum of 4GB and recommended 8GB. Are you saying you a have a discreet VRAM of 28GB? Thx. ...Looks like that is an integrated card. Enscape requires dedicated.

corosketch there are a number of 24GB video cards, not easily or cheaply available though. Enscape will run fine on a 4GB GTX card like a 1070 (That's what I had before I upgraded to a 3070 RTX card.) A significant part of the graphics requirement is the NVidia software, and that requires an nvidia card to run.

That isn't very expensive actually (the 4GB card). Thank you for the information, Andybot.
