  • vray refraction make me the material darker?

    hi im testing vray 1.46.12 to make an scene and i find that the material seems different inside the glass. The teapot have same material as the teapot inside the glass. Why? is normal this?

    This is normal as you're using reflections on the glass that are blocking the ambient light to some amount (a light ray that gets reflected doesn't transmit its energy to the inside).
    Anyway you should upgrade to the latest version (or the latest demo).

      make sure you have refractive GI caustics turned on to let the gi light pass trough the glass.

        dont forget people. 1.46.12 was one of "those" copies. not to mention it also had bugs up the wazoo
