  • exclude an object from receiving lens effects?

I want to render a glowing person and in order to do this i have to put a powerful light on him but the problem with your current lens effect system it just applies this also to nearby objects too, can you make a option where you can just apply it to just one object or several only as I hate wasting time compositing especially for a animation, when this could be just be a check box item

Not sure exactly what effect you need but one solution would be to add a cryptomatte element.
Then you can isolate the object you want to glow with a curves layer e.g.
Then a self illuminated material on the person can create the necessary intensity and you
can then tweak the lens effect parameters to taste.

To my knowledge you can't exempt the lens effects on objects but as fixeighted pointed out, you can comp then in our out. You can do that straight from the VfB if you are on v-ray 5... There is a tutorial from chaos on that.. Can't seem to find it right now though..
