how to make someone glow like Jesus Christ adding a vray light material but it just makes the whole person white and you cannot see any facial features same if you put a light close by to person with lens effect turned on anyway to do this without lens effect and look right like this reference photo but a stronger glow would be good than even the reference photo but still see cloths and facial features that blend right with the glow not just overpower with pure white?

I think it's a post effect rather than something to attempt purely in 3D, so in a basic way you'd use a separate rotoscoped figure and other layers
and selective masks to create localised glows.

Post work is the way to go imo but you can achieve a glow by adding some fog into the scene and creating a light around the character, make it invisible and thus making it look like glow. But it's probably not worth the render time, although probably a nice effect!
