VFB history settings are on and always work when I render to my primary workstation, however, when I use backburner to render out images from multiple max files, on my primary machine, that VFB image doesn't get saved anywhere.
Is this common or is there a tick box I'm missing?
    thank you

Before you submit a backburner job, make sure that you have properly set up an output file in the "Common" tab of the Render Setup window (F10 hotkey in Max). Backburner won't save an image if you don't do this. Check the "Save File" box and then click on "Files..." to choose where Max will save the image (or the image sequence if rendering an animation). You can choose the image format there too.

      Thanks Alex for your reply
I think i need to be a little more specific with my question.

I would like the rendered image from VFB via backburner to be saved in the history panel of the VFB, or at the very to be saved in the project folder where it can be loaded into the VFB.

        Hello,

VFB History is entirely disabled for Backburner. It would be best to use one of the save options.

        Best regards,

Thanks for clarifying. You can save the image or image sequence as a VRIMG file in the history folder used by VFB via the method I've outlined. Then it should automatically show up in the history panel the next time you open VFB. Try it out.
