  • CAT animation question

No, not the furry variety in my clickbaity title

I bought a rigged bird which I've had to rebuild/reskin, as the quality wasn't what I wanted (should've done it myself from the start of course )
I chose to use CAT for some reason and ran into an issue with animating its general position/rotation, so having it simply linked to a root node.
Given that there's almost zero info on CAT available relating to birds, I thought I'd see if anyone here has any idea how to do this.

As usual I figured this out after posting.
I have no idea why it didn't appear to work at the time but it does now.
If anyone else was curious, it's as simple as linking both the pelvis and the feet platforms to the base node.
Saves me having to build a standard bones rig and suffer the skinning horrors again

Hehe, brilliant. I can't imagine how I overlooked that, though my CAT experience is limited.
Thanks very much for posting this far more obvious solution
