  • Texture Problem

    Hello,

I have a wall made up of individual planks that have been attached. Whenever I render, I always seem to get some random planks that don't render like the others. Haven't been able to figure this out... Always appears that their scaling / orientation is way off even though it's the same UVW. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks,

Hi Gari, I replied to your message, but I've just noticed it never posted.

I tried resetting the xform and normals but no luck. I've also re-built the textures and a few other things, but nothing. I'm going to re-built the geo as there isn't much to do, but even if that works, it's not very practical.

Anyway, thanks again for the quick reply. Really appreciate it

Did you managed to resolve the issue? If not can you attach the object in a max file si I can take a look? Or, at least, paste the shader tree. Are you using UVRadnomizer by any chance?

Haven't had a chance to work on that project since, but will be taking another look in the next week or so. If it continues to be an issue I'll attached the files for you to look at. Thanks for the offer! I think I was using a UVRandomizer though..

I've been having another issue over the months that I haven't figured out. Whenever I use a Vray Color, it's always very washed out. I've always just continued on as I've yet to figure out why, but thought I would post some examples

Even with the same file, setup, settings, color, ect... My results are always washed out. What am I missing!?

Post a scene with a teapot that has this behaviour and it should be simple enough to troubleshoot.
It works as expected here, so you must have a setting somewhere that is causing this.

I did and of course it works. Everything works in a fresh file! Anyway, that has happened to me during a few projects and I've yet to find the setting... Thanks for the reply!
