  • I hate TX files from Cosmos Browswer. They just make everything so much more difficult.

I don't know what advantage they provide to Chaos as a company, but to me as a user and a customer, they suck and make life harder.

I know you can rename them to TIF files.

But why not just use TIF files?

I need to make some adjustments to a bunch of assets ... I can't scroll through them with IRFAN view (why not? why can't the most popular image viewer view TX files?; I can't see them in an archive folder, I can' know what they are without renaming them.

It's just such a pointless time and hassle suck.

    Hi,
The advantages of .TX files are related to mip-mapping and optimizations.

It seems that XNView displays them :

Hi there. Chaos Player opens .tx files but I not sure if you can "scroll trough" in a convenient way. I will have to check.

XN view seems to do the job.

As it goes, I don't know why you guys don't reach out to some third parties and get them to support TX files better.
