  • can you use vray with sketchup?

I know it is possible when you also have 3Dmax.
    But i don't have it.

Will the standalone version work with sketchup?
..and if so, what is the releasedate?

currently vray will not work with sketchup. it only works with 3dsmax. The standalone will only with sketchup in the future if someone writes bridging software for it.

they seems to work on it, rhino, sketchup, and maybe revit.
(seems revit is not so popular)

Actually guys, there already exists a direct link to Sketchup for Vray and Maxwell. Others are reportedly in planning. Plus, there are numerous smaller renderers that work with Sketchup (Piranesi, Artlantis, Vue, and at least 6 others I'm not recalling right now)

CCS, i know about the maxwell plugin for sketchup (SU2MXS) even though i use matadorlight externally.
I haven't heard of a direct sketchup-vray link (even not on sketchup forum). If it exists could you give me link to find it?

          Thanx

...The examples are exports from sketchup through 3dstudioMAX....
bottomline: the direct sketchup/vray isn't there yet.

Guess i have to play with maxwell in the mean time...
I wonder why there is so few information given by chaos about those things (how it wil work, releasedates,...) It sure would make life easier.
