  • question about loading Irrmap in Multiframe incremental (+)

    Hello!

My computers in renderfarm have 1Gb of RAM.
I've made some animation. It was 1790 frames (1min15sec) long.

I used multiframe incremental for each 5-th frame, saving Irrmap in Low quality. So file was 300Mbytes.

When i started final rendering (getting Irrmap from file) i noticed, that there was long pause (30 sec. approx) before first frame started to render.
And main - use of memory increased so much!!! About 300Mbytes.

Does Irrmap completely loads into memory?
I thought that it loads per-frame.
Can i render animation, if Irrmap will be 2Gb for example?

    Thank you in advance

The whole Irrmap file has to be loaded to do a render using the saved irrmap

      Dynedain,

      thanks for answer!

      And one more question.
How can i split huge irrmap to parts?
Maybe with Irmapviewer? Or i can only merge Irrmaps with it?

I know, i can render parts by different computers, or with one computer
      but smaller parts.
But then there can be flickering in frames when irrmap files changes to other as know...

probably better to post in the regular forum for a responce to your questions so as to lift any kinda accusations. and you should update to the latest version.
