I was about to cancel my sub on vantage as I do not need it. But apparently I cannot do that even though it is more then a week left. The field is gray out and I am getting info that it is too late for my to do any changes to the sub. I went through information when I bought it and there is no information about this, I did not got any email that I will not be able to make any changes after certain period of time. I wrote an email to support few days but no answer. I am rarely using such strong words, buy this is pure scam and I feel angry about this company policy, the company I was part of as a user from the beginning.

I hope it's a mistake and gets sorted out, but I can't help to express the feeling that Chaos is going more and more the route of Autodesk. Lingering bugs, slow updates, or features no one asks for while ignoring long standing requests, raising the price to be more than the software that is needed to run it.
It used to be fun when the developers were more involved and active here. Now it's slowly dying and all we can do is rant like old guys favoring the old days when they didn't win that Oscar.

You can spin this record over and over. As people age, they are ready to retire and cash out, so they sell shares to a board whose only desire is more money (greed). Adobe and Autodesk are the primary abusers of this. They make subscriptions mandatory in the name of 24-hour development, fire their senior developers, and updates come to a slow halt. Why? There is no reason to spend money on development since people pay monthly to use the software. No longer do they have to bust their butts to give a person a reason to upgrade. I am not saying this is Choas, but this is a pattern in software development.
Vantage and Cosmos are two significant developments for Chaos, so they are innovating. They also have other things coming down the pike.Bobby Parker

I understand or at least grasp the concept of milking in all possible way from existing products, but would expect all financial aspect of getting into sub to be communicated clearly and in the first place. Finding those clause by accident and in situation when you cannot do anything is really user friendly experience. BTW still not answer from Chaos .... well real chaos or what is more probable they the company just do not care. Venting and counting days.

Ya know I have good friend who works at Autodesk, and not on Max .but on a main stream package.
And they work damn hard and take every comment on board and they try and get through everything, and do it on a budget too.
There will always be omissions and errors and that the human side of it no matter how many people check it.
I can't imagine Autodesk still being in business if they had stayed with the older model of non subscription.
People have to be paid at the end of the day, and,.its a big international company.

You guys really need to work on your licensing and subscription models and T&C. It might be investor friendly but not customer friendly.

As part of our current terms, the 30-day notice allows us to ensure smooth handling of subscriptions and prevent any interruptions to your service.
Your feedback regarding our licensing and subscription models is invaluable, and I will make sure it reaches the appropriate teams as we continue refining our approach.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any further concerns or need assistance. We appreciate your patience and hope to provide a smoother experience in the future.

update..
the sub has been canceled. I have received an email an hour ago so no, it was not in spam folder. Thank you.
I understand that all those information about subscriptions, models, cancellation are there but with numbers of stuff program and business wise and we need to deal with, it is hard to keep track with all those "deadlines". I have never encountered 30 days notice for sub, frankly day before works fine in my experience in this model. Email notification from Chaos about subscription ending (for all Chaos product if they have similar cancelling policy) and options (aka emails from Itoosoftware about subscriptions) would help to avoid this situation in future.
Best,
Tomek
