  • Anima ALL - download of rigged characters

    Hey,

some time ago, we have purchased a few people models from the axyz/anima library for use in 3ds max.
Now with the Anima ALL subscription it's no longer possible to purchase single models. So, yesterday we've subscribed for a year.
Unfortunately I don't see any option to access rigged 3d models to be animated in 3ds max. Since we would like to combine animated people with other objects, like a wheelchair, suitcase etc., it seems more convenient for me to realise that inside of 3ds max instead of animate.
Is there any option to get an editable rigged character from the anima library to 3ds max or is this option not available anymore since they cannot be purchased directly from the website anymore?

I hope you have a positive response for me

    Kind regards,
    Joe

    Hello OPKJoe,

Thanks for sharing your questions about Anima.

Actually, for the Anima PRO owners, it is still possible to purchase individual models using the in-app shop available in the application. You can learn more about the process in the link below:

Indeed, it is not possible to access the bones of the rigged models from Anima inside 3dsMax. However, the plugin provides handles that you can use to add props directly inside 3dsMax. You can see further documentation about this process in the links below:Notice that this must be done as the last step, once the anima scene has been completed and baked. If you save or reload the scene after linking anything to the actor's dummies you will lose their connection because all the actors from the anima scene will be resynchronized and regenerated again.

As an alternative, notice that some of the new 4D walking models have luggage and other props with them, perhaps you could use those too.

You can only get an animated rigged actor from Anima into 3dsMax by exporting the anima scene to FBX and then importing it back into 3dsMax. However, this can only be done with purchased models.

It is not possible to export subscription models from Anima because we need to verify the ownership of those models, and we can only do that using the anima native format. This limitation is explained in detail in the NO EXPORT section of the Service Requirements documentation:If you need more information, please let me know.
