  • Anima 5.7?

Is there any update on a 5.7 version of Anima? Specifically looking to use Anima All in UE 5.5 but the plugin is not yet supported. We've been using it frequently in 5.4 and were forced to upgrade to 5.5 for a current project and we greatly need to add characters.

    Hi Ryan,

We have been working on supporting this new UE release since it has been announced. If nothing unexpected happens, we should release a new update for anima® soon (probably by the end of this month) that will include the new plugin for UE too. Until then, we need some time to develop and test it properly to ensure that everything is stable and working fine.

Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding.

      Hi Albert,

Thanks for the reply, completely understand on the need to properly test before the full release. In the meantime is it possible to gain access to a nightly / pre-release build if available? It’s been a while since I’ve downloaded any for V-Ray, not sure if that’s an option for Anima All. We have a project due the first week of February and we need to populate a scene with a few dozen characters in an office space and unfortunately we have to be in UE 5.5 so we are limited on what we can do for pre-animated characters.

        Hi Ryan,

We do release beta versions sometimes, in the Release Candidates page from the AXYZ website. However, there is none available yet for version 5.6.1 because we found a problem on the plugin for UE 5.5 that requires a fix on the Epic Games side. We have reported the solution to them already and we are waiting for his answer.

Unfortunately, as this problem relies on their side, we can only wait until they decide to apply the the fix that we have suggested.

          Hello ryan_companies,

This is a follow-up on your request regarding the Anima support for UE 5.5.

It is with great pleasure that we can finally announce the recent release of a BETA version for Anima 5.6.1, which includes support for Unreal Engine 5.5.x and Cinema 4D 2025. It also includes a new version of the plugin for UE 5.4 that should make it more stable.

You can download it from the link below:Please, keep in mind that this is a BETA release with potential to be a final product, but it is not yet fully tested in a wide variety of production environments. It has successfully passed our internal QA testing, so it is ready for release unless significant bugs arise in the public beta stage. The aim of this beta version is to be tested in as many real production environments as possible, as internal QA testing cannot cover all possible combinations of environments used by our customers. Therefore, we recommend using this BETA version with special caution in production, and directly avoid its use and wait for the final version if you have a very close deadline.

If you decide to try it out, we will be looking forward to hearing any feedback you may have on this long-awaited support for the UE 5.5.x series.

          Have a nice day!
