download vray for max6/max7

We just purchased VRay. I am about to download it but saw that you must choose the proper version of max. Now we use max6, which will probably be updated soon, but do not know when. If I download vray for max 6 now, will I later be able to download for max 7 when we purchase it? Another question. I read that once vray is installed on a computer, it must stay on that computer. What happens if that computer must be reformatted? Here in the studio they are constantly updating my computer and/or I have problems with the computer and they reformat it. What would be the solution to this? When using a network, should vray be installed on the server and then be accessed from another computer (in which case, when my computer is changed I would no longer lose the license on my computer), or should it just be installed on the actual computer where it will be used? I want to be clear on all these situations now before making any mistakes! Thanks!

If You happen to format the HDD, after re-installing, you will be able to run V-Ray on the same machine with your license authorization code. Otherwise, You should contact us with a new request.

Actually this is up to Your needs. VRLServer can be obtained via the Network, so it is all your choice where you will install it.

by the way, does vray DR works on a workgroup network with 3dmax stanalone installed on them ?
