  • Anima animation offset with Cinema 4D Team Render

Hello albert_alomar, I am working in the meantime with the official 5.6.1. release, from the 12th Feb. (I don't know if there are changes to the beta.)
have a problem in Cinema 4d with Team render. The renderings from the node have an offset in the anima animation.
Any idea, how to make it work with team rendering?
    Thanks!

PS: Is the anywhere an anima forum, or are you planning to integrate it here?

    Hello haniel1107

I am working in the meantime with the official 5.6.1. release, from the 12th Feb. (I don't know if there are changes to the beta.)
The beta went great, so the final version is exactly the same executable.

have a problem in Cinema 4d with Team render. The renderings from the node have an offset in the anima animation.
Any idea, how to make it work with team rendering?
The Team Render from Cinema 4D should work fine with with Anima right away. Depending on your workstation setup you may have some issues with the textures of the models, but that can be easily solved by adding the Anima textures path to the Team Client app.

There is no known issue that involves an offset in the animation of the scene when using a Team Render with Anima in Cinema 4D. As this is the first time we’ve got a report like this, and we do not fully understand how it works or what it looks like on your end. So, to help you more effectively, we would appreciate it if you could provide us with more information about the error you are experiencing and about your system configuration:
    • Could you send us a quick video of your screen (either with your phone or with some screen capture app) showcasing the problem?
    • If not, could you provide us with a step-by-step list of actions that would let us replicate the problem?
    • Does that same problem appear if you render only the anima® project in an empty 3D scene with the same render settings? (including the same lights, cameras, and render parameters but not the other 3D objects)
    • Where is your Anima project located? Can you please tell us the full path of that folder? Is it a Local hard drive, an external USB drive, or Shared Network folder?
    • Where is your Purchases folder located? Can you please tell us the full path of that folder? Is it a Local hard drive, an external USB drive, or Shared Network folder?
    • Please, send us a screenshot of the Anima Preferences dialog: anima (top left logo) Menu > Preferences
    • If you are loading your project from a network folder, what kind of network machine are you using? (Workstation / Server / Synology NAS / Qnap NAS / Cloud Storage / Other)
    • Please send us the log files, grabbing them right after the error happens. You can find them in the following folder: "%localappdata%\anima\System"
If you prefer to not publicly share that information in this forum, please, feel free to contact us at the Chaos Help Center.

PS: Is the anywhere an anima forum, or are you planning to integrate it here?
Yes, we will create a section specially dedicated to Anima in the Forum very soon. Until then, you can keep using this Common section.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Hello albert_alomar, thanks for your reply. When you say it should work, let me try it again. And I'll let you know.
Is there maybe any installation guide available for network rendering in cinema 4d? I am not sure if everything is setup right....

      Thanks!!

        Hi haniel1107

We have an update regarding the problems you reported using the Render Node installation mode from Anima 5.6.1 on Cinema4D. Last week we fixed an issue that could cause the node plugin to not be correctly initialized under some circumstances.

Today, we have published a new beta (5.6.2 RC1) that fixes this problem. You can download from the link below:Please, keep in mind that this is a BETA release with potential to be a final product, but it is not yet fully tested in a wide variety of production environments. It has successfully passed our internal QA testing, so it is ready for release unless significant bugs arise in the public beta stage. The aim of this beta version is to be tested in as many real production environments as possible, as internal QA testing cannot cover all possible combinations of environments used by our customers. Therefore, we recommend using this BETA version with special caution in production, and directly avoid its use and wait for the final version if you have a very close deadline.

If you decide to try it out, we would highly appreciate your collaboration providing any feedback you may have on this beta version.
