  • Can you install 2 different V-ray and 2 different 3ds Max on the same PC?

I have 3ds max 2022 and also an older version of 3ds max on the same PC. If I get V-ray 7 can I install V-ray 7 only on the Max 2022 and leave the older install of V-ray working with my older version of 3ds max?
Likewise with render nodes - can I install the new v-ray 7 render node to max 2022 and leave the old node install attached to the older max?

Why do this ? - because I have plugins on the older 3ds max that will not work with vray 7 or max 2022. So I need older v-ray running on my older max version and newer v-ray running with my newer max version, I will lose some tools unless I can do something like that.
    thank you

    Of course - f.e, I have 3ds Max 2022-2026 all with various V-Ray versions.

Thank you much. May be onto a solution path now.
Do you know if I get V-ray 7 if that would get me access to run the Vray 5 installer on the older max install, and run the vray 7 on the newest max install, on the same PC.
      I currently have v-ray 4.

My older max and its plugins are compatible with up to vray5.
Max 2022 and my newer plugins work with vray 7, so vray 7 would only be installed into max 2022.

If that isn't possible then I would leave the old max with vray 4 and just install v-ray 7 into max 2022

can render node installed into older 3ds max be on same computer along with render node of v-ray 7 installed into newer 3ds max?
I'd still like to be able to distrubuted render my 3 PCs using older 3ds max & older v-ray in addition to being able to distributed render those same PCs using newer 3ds max and v-ray7.

If various versions of max and with various versions of v-ray can co-exist on the same PC it would seem this would work?
