  • Transluncensy problem

I have some problem with translucensy. Look at the image, the leaves on the left side are grey cause of translucensy. If i turn it on, they are grey, and if I turn it off, they are green. I have tested a lot of different settings and its always the same..

Change the translucensy colour from white to a warm green. Remember to set your fog colour so that neither r,g or b reaches 255 in intensity.

actually i think its probably more of a case that you need to get your forum account updated by chaos group to give you full forum access allowed to those who have purchased vray

        Thanks mate, I´ll do that.
I would really want some good manual about SSS with Vray. It´s so damn hard to figure out by yourself.

What is the difference between translucensy and fog? And what does thickness do?

        Da_elf:
I will talk to my teacher about that.

get the teacher to ask for an account possibly with the name of the school as the user name so that all the students who wish access to the forum can access it via that name rather than the chaos group guys having to add an account for each student. Its just that its better to access the main forum.

            I´ll do that.

Hope I´ll get some answers to my other questions.

This is the result btw (first WIP render with new settings):

Yeah, nice result. Maybe add some more segments along the length of each blade\leaf, as it is a bit lores atm.
Da_elf is right. I just realised there is no watermark on your renderings, so shame on you
