  • vrimg to 300tiff

    Hi,
I´m trying to render a pretty big still for printing (about 7000 wide pixels). So far everything it´s ok with the vrimg file and RAM issues. The problem is when I try to save this file in a 300 dpi version in TIF. EXR files are automaticaly at 72 dpi (or I´m wrong?). Please let me know if there any way to convert the vrimg file or the EXR file to a print version at 300 dpi.

    Thanks

You don't understand how it works: dpi is a factor of your output device not the file.

its still 7000 pixels wide. If you then print that on a 300pdi printer then its 300pdi
if you look at it on a monitor then its 75/ 72 dpi.

All you need to know is that 7000 dots /300 dpi = 23 inches wide for your image at its best quality.

yep, use the print size wizard to calculate your image size, then if you really need to hand it over at 300dpi, just do it in PS...
