Hello.
I plan to use 3DSMax with dedicated VRay linux server, but I have some questions first:
1. Will be Linux version more faster than Windows XP version? On a 64-bit CPU. Does it use wine or has a native binaries?
2. Can I install this version on an CentOS 5 Linux 64-bit or Gentoo Linux 64-bit system? Can I open 3DSMax on workstation and send my render job to dedicated Linux server with a couple of mouse clicks or should I run it from console?
3. Can I use VRay in OpenVZ container, are there any hidden problems with such configuration?
4. What is the price of Linux version and what about license (is it licensed on a single CPU, on a single machine or on a single person/company?) For example, I plan to buy license for Dual Core server but in perspective maybe I want to buy an additional server, should I buy additional license or not? Is it possible technically (cluster mode)?
Thank you.
