  • std camera vs vray physical camera..

just wondering if it is neccesary to use a vray physical camera to get a good render or you can get the same result with a std camera?

Just adds more controls and lets you adjust them in a different way, it's personal preference.

Doesnt make any difference to the quality of your images.

The model would of fit in the shots a bit better if he'd used physcam and the right distortion, just say'n...

There are some specific features in the physical camera (e.g. distortion), which you can't get with a standard camera.

          Best regards,

Physical camera was used for those shots - they were just a nightmare to track and it was the first time we'd done any tracking on that scale.

I meant in the overall image, if you'd read my post I did say it had more features but... you can get the same standard of render. (lighting quality etc.)

                  QUOTE]

Yep i stopped in Tijuana for a day as part of a family trip to the states about 18 years ago. The bus ride in was a terrifying experience, imagine Cheech Marin driving full speed along single track dirt roads while looking back at his passengers the whole time cracking loads of jokes.
The zonkeys were pretty funny, you had to pay the owner to take a photo of it and if he caught you trying to be sneaky he would chase you on foot. The best bit was how badly painted on the white stripes were.
