  • VRay Ambient Occlusion

    HiĀ°!

Is it possible to amplify the ambient occlusion effect? If so, how do I do it?

You could do it in photoshop. Do your AO as a VRayExtraTex pass and add it as a blending layer in photoshop. You could keep adding AO layers until you've achieved the desired effect...

Pixelcon, I've found another solution: Putting the DirtMap into a Composite Map and multiplying one or more Dirtmaps.

But I have one more question:
How can I avoid this boxy look of the AO in, for example, a box. Does it have to do with smoothing groups?

It's all to do with the shape of the object - you might be better off using a light and gi.
