  • SDK: Load a VRayProxy

    Hi,

is there any way to load an VRayProxy (or any geometry I create myself) before rendering, so it is handeled as if it is normal geometry?

If this is in 3ds Max, use the pre-render notification message do create any objects you need, and then delete them in the post-render notification. This is the easiest way to get V-Ray to handle it in the same way as other scene objects.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Mh.. and is there an easy way to load a vray-proxy file?
Or would you give me the specification of the vrmesh-file-format?

What I'd like to do is to load a vrmesh-file 100-times, but handle it as one object.. I don't want to create 100 VRay Proxies and set the vrmesh-filename as property.

      Best regards,
      Aya

The SDK includes classes for working with V-Ray proxy objects; if you email me to vlado@chaosgroup.com I can get you an example of how this is done.

          Hi,

I mailed you already but didn't got an answer.. :/
Would you tell me the name of the class and where I can find it? Maybe I can find out how it's working myself if you don't have time to create the example..
