  • VRay RGB / CMYK

    Helo,

I am a student from germany, I tried to post in specific forum, but it does not really work.
    Okay here my problem:
For an architecture project I rendered a *.jpg out, merged this with some text information in photoshop (rgb-format). To print this poster I need the CMYK-format. If I change in photoshop from RGB to CMYK the colours from the rendering are quite matt. Is there a way to rendered it with CMYK-colours out?, or same preferences in the materialeditor?

Or is there just one way to modify the CMYK-format with curves and so on in photoshop?

RGB & CMYK will NEVER look the same as they are different processes for different applications.

RGB is additive colour [think self illuminated ...used on computer monitors]

CMYK is subtractive colour for printing [Think light bouncing off a colour..you never actualy see the colour - you see the reflected light which has been coloured by the ink on the paper]

As far as I know neither Vray or 3dsMax will NOT work in CMYK

    Hope this helps

It would be odd, setting up lights in CMYK color space... it is created to describe the way surfaces reflect light, not how they emit it.
