  • Opacity Maps not calculated in Zdepth/Velocity pass

    I recently purchased vray from trinity 3D , we are rendering a Huge garden scene that we originally rendered in MR,
    all our foliage, grass is using Opacity maps, our renders are not calculating the opacity in the Z depth or velocity passes.
    i've read this issue has been resolved in 3DS max , Was wondering how this can be addressed in Maya.

    the rendertimes are already huge, so id like to keep it as fast as possible.


    2.) also on this note is there any settings that can optimize rendering thousands of opacity maps?

    I think this should be fixed for newer builds; as for the opacity maps, it may help to turn off the filtering.

      we only see build 1.50.00, which is the one we downloaded, this one is the one that doesnt work, where should we be looking?

            Hi Vlado are there any certain things you need in order to "qualify" for the nightlies (apart from having a V-Ray licence of course)?
            Maya 2020/2022
            Win 10x64
            Vray 5
