switching license location??

Hi,

I still have trouble with access to the normal forums, so I will write it here:

I am currently in the process of testing the license server setup, and having some problems.

I am on OSX and I use the command:
/Applications/Autodesk/maya2009/Maya.app/Contents/vray/bin/setvrlservice.exe -server=SERVERNAME

to set the license.

Now I need to go back to using my local machine as server, and I try :
/Applications/Autodesk/maya2009/Maya.app/Contents/vray/bin/setvrlservice.exe -server=localhost

but now I cant get a license, even though I did start the license server, and the dongle is plugged in.

So any ideas how to set the license back to my local machine ?

Try 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost; also what kind of error message do you get?

vray4maya just report it cannot obtain a license (0).

Thanks it worked .. and we also got our license server up now
