Yes, this works, but only on some systems; we are trying to convince WIBU that there is a problem If you come across this issue again, please let us know.

        Best regards,

Just I came across it once again. After some installations of couple basic linux apps, suddenly the vr licence stopped working (the 32bit vrlserver never worked actually for me,ultrasonic can you describe what you've done to make the 32bit vrlserver to work normally?) but as mentioned above, something happened the first time, and even I got the same segmentation error all the times (shown at the boot screen), I could render normally.

Now, I tried a fresh install of Fedora 13 x64, in order to reproduce the procedure described at the above posts and make it work again. The problem is that there is only one-shot chance to make it work and if you don't...only another chance is taken by installing from scratch the Fedora OS..if you miss it to make it work...the loops continues.

And as if have already understood, I'm into that loop that I'm trying to make it work, but the only that has caused me so far is a lot of stress and anger since it is BROKEN and even the Frankenstein method doesn't work anymore.

Kindly, any help would be invaluable since I was working on something and stopped due it and I'm extremely frustrated since I'm constantly trying to find a solution the last 2 days.

          Thank you

i didn't do something special...i installed vray first...then the wibu stuff....then the 64bit vrlserver...noticed that it didn't work...uninstalled it and tried the 32bit version from the vray4maya2008_linux installer....and it worked at my first try...
the only thing that i can imagine is that your system is missing some important libraries...i also installed all libX* libx* and libX*i686 and libX*i686 packages that i could get...maybe that works for you...but i don't know if vrlserver even needs them....

u should also check if your wibu server displays your installed licenses properly...

            good luck mate!

I hope that it was so smooth as you describe in the first sentence, but it isn't for me.
I have installed all the libs you mention, but if it was a problem of missing libs I would get an error for missing ones (as it happens in any linux app) but I get straight away the denail (segmentation fault).

The Wibu usb and server are running fine,so I cannot blame the WIBU that the usb fails in x64. Don't know yet, but I'm gonna try once more to make it work initially, in order to make the licence working, even if the vrlserver will keep failing constantly.
