  • Sun/sky and maya units

Hey, trying the demo here and it seems that the vray sun goes wacky when you change maya's default units from centimeters to meters. The intensity multiplier is so sensitive that it cannot be adjusted when you're in meters.
    Any way to fix this?

It would be best to add the physical camera attributes to your camera; they will sort out the units issues.

    Best regards,

Thanks, it works, but I'm a little concerned about it. Now the only way to preview the sun's intensity is to render the scene. Also, if I place an IES light in there, I have to bump the intensity to 10000.

IES lights are typically very dim compared to the sun. Ideally you could use V-Ray RT to preview the resulting image - unfortunately we cannot do much for the Maya viewports.
