  • non anti-aliased render?

    Hi,
I'm trying to get a non anti-aliased render out of maya/V-ray to use the color info in Flash. I got the model non anti-aliased, but the texture does keep some anti-aliasing. I already set the filtertype to 'Off' but that doesn't seem to do the trick. Anyone can help me out?
(btw, we have 3 vray licenses here but I still can't post new threads in the appropriate forums).

Just to clarify; i have a png image (larger than my render) set as a texture.

      Can you show an image?

If you zoom in you can see some anti-aliasing between the green an grey area, and blue and grey area. And some other places. These need to be the same color instead of an interpolation.
The texture was originally a PNG, but I also tried it with a TGA image.
Thanks for helping out, and with the registration!

Ok, this is not antialiasing, but probably the texture interpolation. One thing you can try is to increase the resolution of your texture, the other is more complicated and would require you to export to a .vrscene file, change the filter_type parameter in the BitmapBuffer plugins to -1 and then render with the standalone version of V-Ray.

Thanks for the reply. I'm gonna try the standalone commandline render. As a workaround we now have flash doing a surrounding pixelcheck to check the surrounding pixelvalues and using one of them.

I tried your advice with the bitmapbuffer but it doesn't help. Below is the result. Of you zoom in, still lots of anti-aliasing in the image (not the model though).

Then it would be best if you can get me a scene to vlado@chaosgroup.com so that I can check what is going on.

                Best regards,
