  • Render time

Hi! I can't figure out what's the matter! There no PhoenixFD tweaks were changed since I've rendered my work last time, the PhoenixFD simulation files are also same, BUT now I need to render it again and the PhoenixFD's objects rendering takes alot of time on the same machine! When I hide them rendering goes quick. Plz help!

    THANKS!

Btw, I noticed that PhoenixFD places omni lights around it's emitter when rendering. Is there the way to completely turn off PhoenixFD illumination?

can you remember when was this "last time"?
the omni lights are placed when you use the "additional lights", set their count to zero and there will be no omni lights.

It seems to me the different versions of my scene with the same PhoenixFD tweaks take different time when rendering, except the same scenes with PhoenixFD objects hind. Btw, I'm running PhoenixFD 1.1 + V-ray 1.5SP5 + 3dsMAX2011.
The "last time" was just about I posted the last messege here. Sry for another stupid question, but I can't find "additional lights" feature in the PhoenixFD source options! Is it V-ray feature?

        THX!

the additional lights is placed in the emissive rollout of the colors and transparency dialog.
keep in mind that the render time is highly related to the vray settings

Thx alot! The problem was "additional lights" feature. I reduced it to 0, now render goes fine.
