  • Strange surface effect? - any thoughts

    Hi

I seem to be getting a strange 'golf ball' effect on some of my surfaces during rendering and I'm not sure whats causing it - any thoughts??

I've integrated the surfaces in rhino and all seems well, but every time I render using a GI lighting scheme I get this?

I've tried increasing and decreasing the mesh complexity - also tried exporting and re-importing the object as iges, 3Ds, step etc with no change! I've also tried rendering as exploded surfaces - still no luck?

Any body else had this problem, or got some suggestions??

    cheers

Check the normals (=direction) of that surface, there are issues with GI and inverted normals on surfaces.

Yeah but in fact it shouldn't cause a problem imo. I posted it in the bug section
