    OT- but might interest you

Thank you. My experience - sometimes I use very simple furniture objects as placeholder (cubes ...), other times I use downloaded free models and very seldom I model furniture, but most this furniture is copyrighted by the interior designer.

I recommend this website: http://archinoah.de/ It is in german language but I think you understand the important words like "cad bibliothek". Here you can find an exchange of architecture objects.

I like the idea to collect all links of free and commercial arch models and post it in one thread.

          Hi Micha,
what process do you use when you import 3ds object to get them smooth and ungrouped for applying changing materials on particular places ?
          Thank you.
Evermotion has also a good biblio but it's all 3ds.

Most 3ds works fine. Only sometimes I get parts of the object at the wrong place. I have find a fine solution - 3D photo browser from www.mootools.com. This tool is an image and 3d object browser. If you have installed the rhino thumbnail viewer, than you can see this in the browser too.

            http://www.mootools.com/plugins/foru...21196dd0c61f78

The browser allow to open a 3ds file and turn it from all sides and you can save it in an other format! Than, the wrong placed parts are at the right place in Rhino.

I recommend to test the demo.

I*ve done my Eames Fiberglass Chair...well I am stuck with the form of the seat part...but at least I got the Eifel base.

Problem is I want the Skyleather version and not the plastik seat.
