    Hi,
    One of my recommendation in a future update
    would be a .mat import in the material editor!!! In that case we should be able to have a cross-platform (max-rhino) material database.

    This idea has been kicked around - we need to figure out some of the details ( like how to handle proc textures and other things that don't exist in Rhino that may exist in Max ). We are also hopeful that V-Ray will have a standardized material at some point.

      well as a start you might just leave them alone
      if a feature not exist in rhino it simply dont add it
      not all materials are that complex

        right - that was how we figured we would handle it. Just worry about what we can translate
