If you type "-viewportproperties" without the quotes, you can set the size of the viewport by pixels. If you're doing a 1600x1200 render, set the viewport to the same aspect ratio (like 800x600, 400x300, etc.) and it will work.
Yes - we need a "safe frame"-type feature. It would be immensely helpful - as well as a feature that will grab the image aspect from the viewport. That also would probably alleviate some headaches.

I don't know if that is an option of Brazil Render or part of RDK but i already have it in Rhino 4 and i can use it with all renders.
Thats actually not a Brazil specific thing, its an RDK (formerly know as RCM) thing. The safe frame option actually comes up in the options box for Rhino 3, but at least for me isn't doing anything right now. In Rhino 4 it works fine. The only thing though is that it probably takes the resolution from the Rhino Render properties, so I don't know if we can have it so it takes the aspect ratio from us when the override Rhino output is enabled. But even if I have to set the rhino ratio to get the correct safeframes thats better than not having any safeframes at all.

Other render engines can do that.

Safeframe looks right here, even if you have different windows ratio. ???
