  • Converting Existing Materials to Vray Materials?

    Greetings;

    I have a scene previously built and it contains a number of materials. Is there some way to take the materials that are already on this model and convert them into VRay materials?

    Part of the problem is that the layers and grouping are all very specialised, so its not just a matter of RMB and using 'apply material to object'.

    Basically I'm wondering if there is a way to change the material rather than make a new Vray one, then go back and select every face/object and apply it. Thats what I'm doing right now, and with this giant high-rise, all this glass is a pain

    Thanks!

    If you utilize our linked materials it will let you basically "wrap" a Sketchup material inside a V-Ray material. When you create a linked material it will automatically apply itself to every object that had the original Sketchup material on it.
