  • glow? native or ps?

what would be the best way to create glowing type for an interface.

Can this be done natively or post processing in ps.

If using ps whats the best workflow.. would I render an extra lighting chanel and filter this in ps?

    thx

I've seen glow examples in the VRaySDK done programmatically - but at this time VfR can't support it natively. I'm a programmer, so I'm not sure how to accomplish as a post-process effect, but I'm sure it can be done. Maybe Micha or Damien have done something like this before?

I'm not sure what mean "glowinf type of an interface". Maybe you mean something like a TFT screen, this can be done, if you setup a material with an emitter layer only. Assign a texture to the emitter layer and assign it to an object. In non GI mode you will see an object with constant color and in GI mode this object send light to the scene.

But often "glow" mean a blury glowing in the air around a light source. This effect can be done per postwork. Take an image to photoshop and use the "select color range" tool. Select the brightest color of the image and copy it to a new layer. Now blur this layer and your previous bright areas will get a glow around.
