Ok - I've made a new file in our downloads section ( Downloads- My Files - V-Ray for Rhinoceros ) that is called "Visual Studio 2005 Redistributable x86". It should install all the dependencies. Try installing this on the machine that you put your DR Spawner on. I'm guessing that this might fix your issue. Let me know if it works out.

So, I'm not sure understand anything: is it possible to use DR now? What must be done? Does it work if I use a XP64 and a XP32 slave? Or is it better to wait?

PS: I'm three days in vacation now.

          Re: distributed rendering vfr4

My understanding from the last time I talked with Joe about DR was that not all of the scene info was being copied over to the slave which leads to the whole light bucket/dark bucket thing. Besides that it would seem that everything else is in place, but unfortunately the light/dark issue makes the image unusable. As far as the 32-64 bit issue that is a little more up in the air. I personally have done tests going from a 32bit to a 64bit machine and had it work the same as it was when I was going across 2 32bit machines, so I think that will clear itself up in the near future. I haven't talked to Joe about this in a little while, so I will see what he says on Monday.

Yes - in the current version there was some things not being copied over properly. I believe if you stay away from the physical camera and don't try to use gamma correction than it is usable. Or just wait a couple days for the fixed version to be released

              Re: distributed rendering vfr4

I try to use DR for my current project, because the deadline is near. But the Spawner at the slave crash. I use a XP64 master machine and a XP Pro (32bit) slave. Any idea to get it working. I run the vcredist_x86.exe at the slave, but it dosn't help.

Yeah - 32bit and 64bit won't talk to each other at this time. I believe its a V-Ray SDK issue that should be resolved with our next release.
