I if there is an rhp file in there you need to run "PluginManager" from the command line and then click "Install" and choose that rhp. I believe that batch render plugin was compiled for Rhino 3 - so it won't work in Rhino 4.

I'm waiting for a Rhino 4 update of this great helper too. Any chance to get it?

I'm sure there is a chance of it - we're a bit backlogged with work at the moment, but I'll make a note of it in my overall todo list.

No I don't believe there is a tutorial. We never "really" released it because it is still in a beta form. But I believe it should just be a matter of telling it which views in which files to render. Perhaps someone who has used it more than I have could weigh in on this.

the link above isn't working it seems. The file is 0kB.

If I can get a working copy I'd be happy to host the file for a while. Or, could it be placed in the downloads area? Thanks!

Hi Brandon, I test the link and ... it works. I see the file 0k too and get a message, that I should use a static IP ??? but it works.

you are able to open the zip and see the files? i have tried the 0KB zip on two computers and they show nothing inside the file. Hmm, would you mind simply emailing me the script?

Ah, I see, at the end it dosn't work. Sorry that I oversee it. Try this:

That worked great. Thanks Micha! You've come through again.

I will will post steps for beginners when I figure it out, but it seems straight forward enough More to come ...

Re: where is the batch render script in this page? where are the attachments??

                              Simple steps to batch rendering:

Once you download the Batch Render Plug-In (beta) here: www.simulacrum.de/download/BatchRender.zip

You should install it through the plug-in manager in Rhino (Tools > Plug In Manager ...)

Now you can simply type BatchRender in the command line and you'll be presented with a simple Dialog Box allowing you to add files and pick views (which can be saved if you right click the viewport name and click 'named views ...'). The settings are very straightforward.

                              *** Important Note ***
So far I have had two large batches completely screwed up because I did not verify that the 'Batch Render' Dialog was selected in the vRay > options > Global Settings dialog. I often uncheck this option so that I can work on my scene while it's rendering, btu it causes nothing but trouble during the batch render process.

It would be very helpful if future versions of this application ensured that this option was enable automatically (or simply overrode existing file settings).

                              *** Bugs ***
The View Selection dialog box often lists the selected view twice
(once at the top of the list, and again at the bottom of the list). This is scary, but I select another view, then the one I want.

If the Batch Render option is not enabled, the render process will continue to open all files in the list, while still rendering the one that lacked the batch render option. It will then save out the render with an incorrect file name (the last one on the list usually), and the Batch Rendre window will report that all of the renders were completed successfully. This is a lie
