decal probleme

hi everyone
I am new to vray
I followed michas tut for decals but it fades away in the crome what am I doing wrong
I used chrome blurry texture and diff 1 for logo
I use vfr in Rhino3

Well its fading away because the decal is "under" the reflections. You've got two options with this one. First (and maybe easiest) is to offset that middle surface a very small amount and then have your mappings on that. When you do that make sure the mesh on both the can and the offset are very good or else you may have some artifacts between the two. The second option, which I don't know how effective it will be, is to try to put a "hole" in the reflection layer where the map is. You'll probably be able to put the map you used for the transparency in the reflection slot, just make sure that every thing is setup exactly like the decal. Give those two things a shot and see what happens.

Well thanks after trying both methods... I cut the logo in the tank, decal worked fin on the cardboard under the glass

Good image. I like the reflections on the keg...very nice. Would you mind posting the HDR if you have it/used one.

If you don't mind me asking, what is this image for? You just like beer or is it for a project? Either one is good in my book

Of course I like beer but this was for a little contest...
and it has all the arguments, decals, chrome and glass..
