  • how to fix an hdri problem?

hi everyone, i've got a little ploblem. when i'm rendering a scene with hdri ilumination and enviroment, it apears all black ( in vfr4)

and when i try the same scene in vfr3 (old version), the enviroment and light appears good.

do the physical camera affect this?

im using qmc + lc _reinhard

Right on with the physical camera. Its basically changing the exposure of the scene which is causing your hdr to "disappear".

    Two possible courses of action.
    1. Disable Physical camera. If you not really using it for any specific reason then its a completely viable solution. (a side possibility of this is to simply disable exposure in the physical camera settings...it produces the same result)

    2. Increase the intensity of the HDR. This is the method I would recommend as it allows you to keep using the physical camera. Depending on the actual settings of the camera (ss,f-stop,iso) you may have to increase the intensity into the thousands. This is kind of eerie to most people, so if this creeps you out too, then either change the exposure or use option 1

Yea...we need to look into how to work with the units of things when it comes to the physical camera. If we could somehow autoexpose things that would be super helpful for things like hdrs. Hmmm...maybe a sort of preanalysis of the texture cross referenced with the current camera settings (ss,f-stop,iso) to get a "suggested" multiplier with hdrs. Just brainstorming.

jmmm, good idea, even acording to the hdri, the program could suggest, diferent configuratios to brighter to darker ( like presets, )
