DR. and firewalls

thanks for the previous answers...

but now I'm wondering how to use DR. with firewalls and I could find anything exhaustive:

- what about windows firewall (do I need to kill it ?)
- about hardware firewalls (what does DR. needs open exactly ?)

For windows firewall you should make sure that DRSpawner is an exception. Exceptions should be a tab in the Windows Firewall section and there will be a list of programs. I'm not sure if it will show up unless you've tried to run it previously ( I'm not an expert on Windows Firewall ).

As for hardware firewalls the DR Spawner currently works only on port 20204. In the future I believe the V-Ray SDK will let us specify the port rather than using only that one.

i'm trying to set up the firewall, ok port 20204 but what kind of protocol ?

TCP, UDP , ICMP ????

TCP I believe. If you run netstat -a in your command prompt it should give you a listing of all the current ports and whatnot being used. Check for the protocol of 20204 ( make sure you have DRSpawner.exe running ).
