  • how to avoid splotchy lights - and tips to enhace render times.

hi every one, well i've been working a lot in a tight workflow this week, and for faster results i've used a IR+LC combination, and found after in my final images, an ugly splotchy light bouncing. i know that splotchy issues can be avoided by using QMC but it is too slow .

does any one know how to control splotchy light bouncing by usuing LC+IR ?

and a final sugestion for asgvis vismasters is that it will be very useful to open a sticky topic of tips for enhacing render speeds, like subdivisions values, or to say that displacement maps make slower renderings that bump ones, or checking options like use for glossy rays in LC to enhace the calculation speed . . . etc

thanks its nice to return home jeje ;D

I use LC+IM allways, never QMC and some times LC+IM+DE. The IM calculation is wonderful fast and I have the feeling, if I push IM to best quality, it stay faster than QMC. Some IM rules at the link above - Starterkit 4.

And for your suggestion: a tutorial forum section could collect this kind of infos. Damien, could we get a tutorial section like at chaosgroup?
