  • Chrome/Mirrored materials render black when viewed thru glass

Help! When I render shiny metalic or mirrored materials viewed though reflective glass, the resulting materials look dark grey or black. I wish to see the materials shiny/metallic properties through the glass. Is there an easy way to adjust my glass material to prevent or lessen this effect?

I have enclosed a picture of a bathroom I am designing. Notice the shower hardware on the left and mirrors in the center are grey or black when viewed thru the glass wall in the foreground. Notice the true shiny metal in the back ground when viewed with no glass in front.

    Thanks for any help!

Could it be that reflection/refraction max depth count at the Vray global options is to low?

Excellent! I changed the reflection/refraction depth count from 2 to 4 and it fixed the problem... Thanks again for the suggestion!
