  • Help - :Linked materials render different that in SU

Hi, I've been trying to figure this out myself for a couple weeks of reading the manual/trawling forums but I'm missing something really obvious.

I tried attaching some gif's but I'm getting a message saying the forums upload folder is full.

Basically, I'm dragging a jpeg from my desktop into sketchup, selecting 'use as material' and then applying it to a surface. Then choose link SU material which pops me into the material editor. In the diffuse panel I click the 'm' next to colour and then the texture editor opens. I click the 'm' in the bitmap section and then choose the jpeg on my desktop. Mapping is left on explicit channel mapping 1.

When I render in VRay the material looses it's position that I see in sketchup.

I'd be really grateful for any help.

If you have the texture applied from within the SU material, then you don't have to reapply it in the V-ray material. The linked material is used to add information beyond the SU material, so if its already there, then you don't need to worry about it.
