  • VFB saved image quality

Hello, has anybody notice a decrease of quality AFTER you save an image as jpeg or any other format?...like in this image that i rendered from the manual scenes, notice that the quality in the shadows under the chair is kinda weird, and it wasn't like that in the frame buffer window, it happened after i saved it...can anyone tell me if it is a settings problem or an issue with the VFB, or gamma settings i dont know how to fix this, thanks

It only is an issue with jpgs because of how they handle their compression...your best bet is to switch to another format, such as pngs. Overall, pngs are much better, since they have lossless compression and integrated alphas and they can still be viewed by standard windows picture viewer as well. Pngs are my "everyday" format, and for high res/quality images I'll typically use either targas or exrs. Bmps are okay, but the don't have any compression, so will typically be much larger in size
