  • Texture and Reflections problems

Hi! I am just currently using VRay for SketchUp Demo version (yes, I only have 30 days!!!)
I would just like to know how to scale the textures in VRay and also increase the shine of some materials (ie. shiny floor)
I have downloaded some textures here in ASGVIS site and I applied it in my SketchUp model. Unfortunately, the textures (bitmap image) cannot be scaled. It comes out so small though tiled when rendered say in a 4m X 4m room.
Also, are the textures download here can only be applied in Rhino and not SketchUp?
Please reply the soonest. I really like the rendering program for use within SketchUp but if it has some problems, I have go back in using external renderers.

applying and scaling textures should all be done in sketchup. Check out this thread

      Re: Texture and Reflections problems

      Hi David!
Thanks for the information. I played around VRay once more and I got the "shiny floor" part. I will follow the advice given in the thread for texture scaling. I think I should also do trial and error methods for me to learn as well LOL
