  • New Express Toolbar, made by me...

    Hey All,
I REALLY like the Express Toolbar but I think could be more Rhino like to be able to access to the express option directly from the main Vray toolbar.

I made a small change to the Express Toolbar exactly to have on top only the main Vray toolbar, and material, option and scene list as toolbar linked in the main. (easyer to see than explain)

If you would try mine here it is:
    www.vray.it/VRay Express.zip

    Bye

        Hi,
I will post the scene, setting and video tutorial of V-Ray Express very soon, but for now if you want the material scene to make your own material, send me a PM and I will send you by e-mail. I invite you to share your material in our material area.

        Best

          Hy all,
there's a directory somewhere in the "documents and setting" with all the Express option, scenes and materials.
The Toolbar only make faster to call the presets.

I'm sorry for the error, the problem it's on the local version, the "Application data" directory, where's put the things, sometime has a local name... My it is "Dati Applicazioni".

I'm afraid but it's something that only ASGvis can fix...

What I did, it's only to make together the main toolbar and the Express one... Damien what you think?

          BYE!

The V-Ray Express Toolbars are all macros, meaning that they cannot accommodate different directories. Basically they can only do the exact thing that they are written to do. This is a limitation of macros.

However, a through scripting, different locations can be used provided there is a specific way of knowing what that location is. RhinoScript provides a few ways to get locations that "matter" to Rhino. Mainly the path of Rhino.exe, the install folder, and the current file location.

              Hy Damien,
I think it's could be good to have access to the Express Toolbar from the main toolbar.
              Do you agree with me?

Then, may you help me to fix this?
I can fix my own but not get the path from the script.
I'm not so good in scripting, I know just the basic command.

You may want to check out the V-Ray Utilities that were just released. Through those tools you can make quick quality changes without having to worry about file paths or anything. Also, the Express tools will load up a whole visopt which means that any specific environment/camera settings are overwritten. The Utilities will only change certain parameters, so those settings will be retained.
