Ok. So can someone tell me how to light the bottom of this without adding more light to the top. Or, maybe give me a new approach on how to attack this and get an even distribution of light throughout.
Well, first of all, some of the objects like the chairs and the floor look like they are 100% black. This is generally something to avoid with V-Ray bc that will basically "kill" light. So the first thing I'd do is set those to just about black.
As far as making it a little brighter, there are several approaches, but some are simpler than others. The simplest way would be to change the decay on the lights. If you have them at inverse square, then changing them to inverse might be enough to get you were you want to go. The more complex way would be to change your color mapping settings. Typically moving to a method like Exponential will allow for more "headroom". You can then make the lights a little brighter with less of a chance of them being burned and then the lower parts would get more light.
